Fight Gone Angie is a fundraiser WOD to assist Angie Lutz of Coppermine CrossFit. Angie is currently fighting her second round with breast cancer and is displaying the same heart and determination that has made her one of the top athletes at Coppermine!
She beat her initial diagnosis 8 years ago and went on to complete her first triathlon just 3 months after surgery. For the last 3 years she has been an avid CrossFitter in the Baltimore community. In February of this year she finished atop the podium in the Masters Divsion at the Team Grit competition in Hampton, VA.
The prognosis is good as she enters this new fight. While the first go-round consisted solely of surgery, this one will require chemotherapy, surgery and radiation treatment. She will be required to take at least 6 weeks of unpaid leave post-surgery due to the physical demands of her job as a Physical Therapy Assistant at GBMC.
We are raising money to assist with Angie’s medical bills and living expenses during her treatment and recovery.
WOD
Fight Gone Angie
4 Rounds of 1 min at each station.
Pull-ups
Push-ups
Sit-ups
Squats
-1 Min REST-
In this workout you move from each of four stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a four-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of “rotate”, the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep. The goal is to Win the Fight by accumulating 100 reps of exercise during the workout. If an athlete reaches 100 reps of a given exercise before the time allotted for that exercise has expired, he/she may use the remaining time to accumulate reps of another exercise. The WOD is over when the athlete has accumulated 400 reps or when the fourth round has ended.
