CORE Nutrition is Live!
You have probably noticed the increased focus on nutrition lately here at CFH- Since the beginning of the year, we have executed a 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge, nutrition pilot program, and now weekly nutrition posts on the blog. We are doing this because as a fitness community that genuinely wants its members to achieve their goals, we understand that nutrition is an integral part of this. We have added a nutrition page to our website, where you can find our nutrition offerings along with useful information to help you stay motivated and inspired when it comes to keeping your diet on track. Whether you want to commit to one-on-one nutrition coaching, or are just looking for some tips on how to stay motivated when it comes to eating clean, we hope this page serves you well!
If you are ready to commit you can sign up HERE- CORE Nutrition
The strength work is second today, because we want the major focus to be on Helen. Push hard and work to set a new PR. 90% of the time is spent practicing, today is game day.
WOD
“Helen”
400 M Run
21 KB Swings
12 Pull ups
3 Rounds
Fitness: 35/26
RX: 53/35
RX+: 70/53 (chest to bar)
**If you are deciding between RX and RX+ think about what you are training for. If you are in this boat (the boat of deciding between the two) you are probably training for some type of competition. For most of us that competition would be the open or a local competition. If you are training for that style of competing you should be going fast. This workout should be unbroken and under 10-11 minutes. If RX+ slows you down and you are breaking up the pull ups and the swings I challenge you to try it RX and go faster. If that makes you nervous because you know it will hurt more, be harder to maintain a good pace, and be a challenge to go unbroken….well hopefully you see the point. Go RX.**
Strength WOD
Every 2 minutes for 10 minutes- 7 Front Squats (build up in weight)
*The two minutes can be loose, but try to keep it as close as possible. It is just a good way to keep you on pace and challenge you to get sets in when you are slight fatigued. Record your best set of 7.*
