THIS SATURDAY THERE WILL ONLY BE AN 8 am and a 9 am. The 10 am time slot is for the CrossFit Open Competitors! No 11 am and Noon is for the foundations class.
CFH 30 Day Paleo Challenge Success Story
In February we started our first 30 day Paleo Challenge. There was excitement, apprehension and people who were on board before we started loading the ship! It was great to see people make significant changes in their eating habits they have had for years. Skin was cleared up, sleep felt better, weight was lost and WOD times were improved. Over the next few days we will release some of the success stories from the CFH athletes that feel comfortable with sharing.
Here is what Maura D had to say about the challenge-
My times improved by over two minutes and my recovery time is much quicker than before.
It is hard to get athletes to take the photos and it is even harder to get them to share. Rarely do you find a female that is willing to step outside her comfort zone and allow us to post her pictures online. We can not thank Melissa enough for taking the time and effort to go all out on the challenge and be gracious enough to share her pictures!
Tell us about the challenge? Your improvements and your plan after?
“I improved Monday’s WOD by 1 minute, and increased my AMRAP on Wednesday’s.
I am pretty psyched that this 30 days has changed my outlook on how I think of food, and that I actually had the determination to do it (especially giving up alcohol for that long. Definitely took a toll on my social life. Haha). I didn’t miss the carbs (bread/pasta/rice) or dairy….that dag gone sweet tooth is a different story. The 80/20 principle is totally doable in life!! And now I’m a total believer that abs are made in the kitchen!”
We set Melissa and Maura up for success by providing some guidelines, but they did the cooking, prepped the food and were committed to coming into the gym. We can help, but ultimately you need to be ready to commit, let down your guard and trust our advice!
