In CrossFit we push our bodies to the limit, or what we think is the perceived limit. I have always said in partner workouts I see people push harder than they ever thought they could because they do not want to let down their partner. In competition you see the same thing. There is a crowd, they are watching you exercise so you push harder. Now if you combine the two, team and competition, you might just hit your absolute physical limit. In this video an athlete from Team CrossFit Central experienced something he had never felt before.- Check it out here—CrossFit Central Unity
The thing you don’t see in this video is Michael Winchester being carried off the floor—due to the fact that his arms and legs had completely quit working. He didn’t say a word for almost ten full minutes, his pupils were dilated, and he was completely catatonic. We do not want you to push yourself to this dangerous state of exhaustion during your competitive exercise career, but it is a wild display of just how much the human body can physically handle.
