There have been a few unfortunate events happen in the gym the past few weeks. We have had a purse (it was found and only the phone was gone) and most recently a computer stolen from the gym while class was going on. On Monday night the laptop was taken off our desk in the evening during one of the night classes. We suspect it is a kid from the local high school, not a high profile burglary, but we wanted to make you aware and let you know our plan.
We suggest you keep valuables inside the gym, leave them on the cubby (in the gym) or up front on one of the boxes, they will be safe there.
If you see anyone who looks suspicious, too young to be a member or just out of place, let a coach know.
Our plan- You will see a few security cameras going up in the next few weeks. We will place two outside (one on each door) and two inside to look over the desk/reception area.
We will also be knocking down that back wall, creating a safer and more separate area for the cubbies, and putting in a office that we can lock up our computer in! The renovation will not happen over night, but we want you to know it is a top priority for us.
Again nothing to loose sleep over, safety and security is a priority and we will do everything we can to prevent this from happening again.
By the way if you see a black sony laptop in the pawn shop let us know!
