Jumprope Awareness

I am stealing a post from Keith L.  He posted in our facebook group.  If you borrow something do not break it!

Keith L: Can we talk about jump rope etiquette? I bought by own jump rope and had been keeping it at the gym with all the other ropes on the “personal” hook. I even marked it with red tape on the handles so I knew which one was mine. I could tell that other people had been using it, but that was fine as long as it didn’t end up broken or missing. Today I got to the gym and went to get my rope for the workout. Either someone took my rope from the gym or decided to take the tape off the handles and cut the cable down to be shorter.  Either way, I was without a jump rope and had to them use someone else’s rope for the workout, thus continuing the chain of people using ropes that aren’t theirs.

I know I’m gonna sound like a kindergarten teacher by saying this, but if you’re gonna use a rope that isn’t yours, try and put it back in the same condition you found it in.

Hugs and kisses,
Keith

**If your rope has been damaged or messed with feel free to put it in a loose roll and place it one of the cubbies.  It should be fine there.  If that does not work we can start another “Personal Jumprope” rack in the back gym where only the jumprope owners know about.**

**The loading on this workout should be moderate to light, you should be stringing together 7-15 reps on your first set**

**If the class is huge we might run in heats due to the rings, that will be up to the coach.  If we run in heats in a WOD like this we will partner people up and have you encourage your partner during the workout**
