Athlete spotlight Friday!

Last week was a huge week on our new PR board. There were 16 athletes with PR’s! In case you missed them on the white board, Mike C, Britt H, Eric F, Jen T, Drew E, John B, Colm, Ed, Matt M, Matt D, Coaches Allie, Blair and Alexa all scored their first bar muscle ups on 16.3! Another shout out goes to Maurice and Hugh who got their first ring MU last week. 

While we want to recognize these athletes for their accomplishment, we also want to stress that the ability to do, or not to do a specific skill like a muscle up does not define us as athletes. Rather, it is the consistent hard work that you put in day in and day out. The muscle up is an elusive skill that many CrossFitters chase for years. The majority of the athletes above have been consistent CFH athletes for a very long time- that in itself is a greater win than getting yourself over that bar or rings. If you are looking to add this skill to your wheelhouse, ask a CFH coach for some skills and drills you can practice to get there.

Reminder – there will be no 6:30PM class tonight! CrossFit Open 16.4 is going down starting at 6PM!
