This Saturday we have a Level 1 course at CFH. We will have an adjusted class schedule. Rain or shine we will be throwing down in Federal Hill Park by the Visionary Arts museum at 9 am and 10 am on Saturday! We will also have open gym from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Sunday night.
We have not received any complaints about being closed for Level One Courses, but I am sure it is not everyone’s favorite thing that the gym is shut down. We hate to put you out, but we want to explain a little about why we host these things.
1. There are thousands CrossFit boxes worldwide. It is very difficult to get the opportunity for to host a Level One and it could lead to other opportunities for us with CFHQ that would benefit the gym and our community.
2. It is also great to have other CrossFitters from around the country come to CrossFit Federal Hill and receive their certifications at your home gym. We want to support our community, but we also want to help CrossFit grow and effect other peoples lives around the world.
3. By hosting these certifications, it gives us the opportunity to get more of our members to take the level one and create an even more dynamic coaching atmosphere. They might not become coaches at CFH, but they now have the knowledge to move better which in turn will help everyone in class move better.
We will only host one a month at the maximum. We also try to accommodate you by hosting a fun and dynamic class at the park and pushing open gym back to Sunday evening. We never actually close, we just change our hours up a little.
I just wanted you guys to see where we were coming from and why hosting is important to us. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask.
