Midtownuda.org – is an upcoming art exhibit/auction event to benefit The Midtown Academy (a K-8 public charter school in Baltimore City) on Friday, December 5th from 5:30-9. Dave Ross is the board President and a CFH member. They will have a ton of quality contemporary artists from Baltimore and all over the country participating as well as Midtown students’ individual works from our art program that will also be up for auctions. The exhibit, “Uniting Diverse Artists,” was co-curated by MICA’s own curator and a Midtown parent, Board member, and artist in the spirit of advancing Midtown’s own mission to “unite diverse communities.”
Get your tickets here – http://www.midtownuda.org/Purchasetickets/Purchasetickets.html, and please forward on to others you think would have an interest (in art and/or in supporting a high-quality city public school). Dave would really appreciate all the help, as this is their first big fundraising event for the school!
In other news, we are running a gymnastics class for four weeks every Thursday evening at 5:30 pm! This will be FREE for members of CFH. Tiffany Everret will be guest coaching this mini series. Thursday the focus will be on Handstands and Handstand Push ups.
Tiffany Everret is from Augusta, Georgia and has been Crossfit Level 1 certified since 2012. Prior to CrossFit, Tiffany coached gymnastics for over 7 years and was a competitive gymnast for 10 years. She completed her gymnastics career as a Division 1 gymnast at Towson University. After gymnastics she yearned to be competitive once again. After a forced impromptu trip to the 2012 SoCal regional’s and a training session with Andrea Ager…. She was hooked.
