This is what we chose to go on the back of our coaches shirts. The team came up with it and voted on it. It is something we all believe in and want our athletes and community to get behind also.
Creating a habit is what makes the difference over weeks, months and years. Of course this comes with one caveat, it must be good practice. You can’t just show up and go through the motions. Practice must be deliberate, correct and done with the willingness to improve. That is why we have coaches. Coaches who believe in the processes and make it their business to help each and every person succeed.
To take this a step deeper, as coaches, we have seen the most successes from athletes with an open and disciplined approach. Open, because they are willing to learn, change, adapt and accept advice. They are coach-able. Disciplined because they show up and have the desire to improve. They make fitness and health a priority which is hard for everyone. We all have busy lives and things we can choose over making it to the gym for some toes to bar and rowing. But, remember “Habit Will Be Your Champion.”
