2018 Gym Survey

Hey Team! We can not thank everyone enough for taking the time to help make Industry Athletics a better place. Here is what we gathered and what we are working on based on the feedback we received.

Harbor East

Upgrade changing area and get more cubbies

On the list and we will be working on this over the next few weeks.  We know the lockers were used before, but we are not going back to those.  We will get more cubbies for the changing room and upgrade that area the best we can.

Transparency in the programming

We got this feedback from the members at Federal Hill also, we will be doing a programming post moving forward at the beginning of each new cycle we start. The purpose of this will be to give people a better idea of what to expect and of what we will be attacking!

Crossover Symmetry

Was installed one today and have another to go up soon. Head to the Gym and check it out!

More Fun Toys Like Fed Hill

We are doing our best at Harbor East, but I want the community to remember two big things.  One, we as a newly branded facility ( under new ownership) are ten months old.  In those 10 months, the gym has undergone a huge facelift with a new paint job, total clean out, and new class schedule. With this came new matting, new wall balls, a set of DBalls, a new rig, new dumbbells, new rowers, new plates, storage, new squat rack, crossover symmetry and 20 new RX jump ropes.

Two, we have triple the resources at Fed Hill due to having triple the membership and being 5+ years old.  We are now one community so people can go back and fourth between both spots.   I want this to be a benefit, not a comparison. We will never be a corporate franchise and have the exact same equipment or quantity of equipment at both locations.  As a community I hope that I have proved to you that I am here to invest in the gym and invest in you as athletes.  Ski ergs, bikes and other fancy toys will be here eventually.  When they come though all depends on how fast we can grow our community and where the need is. I can’t thank all of you enough for being a part of the change over!

Bathrooms

Ideally, I would blow out the bathrooms and make them twice as big with 4 showers and new tile with places to change.  Unfortunately however, that is not in the cards due to landlord restrictions.  For the time being we will keep them as clean as possible, and try to update them to the best of our ability. We recently installed new toilets to help with the plumbing issue and we will continue to do our best to make small upgrades where we can!

Federal Hill

Transparency in the programming and more skill work.

What we gathered from this was that we need to do a better job of servicing that middle client.  The one that has been here for a few years, but who still doesn’t have toes to bar, doubles, muscle ups or chest to bar pull ups.  We will do our best to have the programming reflect this and throw in some free skill seminars.  With this type of programming however, comes an extra responsibility for each and every athlete to follow the appropriate progression provided by their coach. Stay humble, all advance skills require a strong base!

The 25’s are getting bad

We replaced all the 25’s.  With that said.  PLEASE take better care of them. They should be dropped from waist level.  Not overhead, sideways or thrown up in the air.  Do your best to take good care of them.

More DRIVE and a 7:30 am class

We have added DRIVE 4 days a week and are in the process of look into adding a trial 7:30 am class. This class will start as being once a week. We are opening to expanding if both the attendance and need is there.

Keep the showers cleaner and provide a fan

We are on top of it and working on a solution for better circulation.

Thank you again for your feedback! We really value your opinions and suggestions on how we can continue to grow as a community. If you ever have additional input, please do not hesitate to reach out.
