Today’s spotlight features Vito P., who has been a member here at CFH for about 8 months now. Vito has made leaps and bounds in his time here due to his consistency and positive attitude. We asked him some questions about his transformation and experience since starting CrossFit. According to Vito, his biggest success so far is not a PR or new skills learned, but it is the mindset he has adopted since committing to CrossFit.
How has Cross Fit affected your life?
Cross fit is a true addiction and I did not think that it would be until I got into month three. The beginning I endured a lot of soreness but once I got to the point that I started utilizing my muscle groups required to more often the soreness went away. That led to being able to come more often which in turn led to me basing what I did on a daily basis around CrossFit.
How has Cross Fit made a positive impact on your life?
Cross fit has led me to get into much better shape and lose 17 pounds within the past 4 months while gaining much more muscle. I am at a point that I do not only look better but feel better as well. I am not satisfied with those results so I have begun watching what I eat and striving to get 20 lbs lighter.
What is your biggest success since joining CFH?
My biggest success without a doubt is in regards to my mental state. Cross fit makes you realize that your mind thinks that you can not achieve something but if you persevere through it you will see that you can. I am completing work outs that I never thought were imaginable.
