If there is anything that we should take away from these five weeks it is that. We GET to be a part of this. Yeah it is hard, yeah it tests your ability to endure pain, deal with adversity and you inevitably be exposed. But, imagine the other side of the coin. You can’t do the open because you are physically unable to, your too busy, you are deployed or have a serious injury. That is a true test of adversity. Sitting on the sidelines when all your friends get to play is the worst.
Enjoy the processes of feeling the nerves, failing and succeeding. Signing up, doing the workouts and putting yourself out there is an accomplishment enough. So when you are out there with your red face, gasping for air and thinking why the hell did I spend $20 for this stupid activity, remember, you GET to workout. It is a privilege. And something that one day you will look back on for strength. It will make you a better spouse, friend, overall person.
