Lets talk Trends… Keto, Intermittent Fasting, whats sustainable?

Every year, a few hot food and nutrition trends take the country by storm. If we look at this past year, we’ve seen everything from poke bowls to the infamous Unicorn Frappuccino, as well as everything from Keto to intermittent fasting. Some of these trends are made famous by instagram, and others by the results they promise.

Certainly, some food trends are healthier and easier on the pocketbook than others.  Its safe to say that not all food trends are created equal, and it’s also fair to say that some are more sustainable than others.

Looking at the two examples from earlier, it’s pretty easy to identify that a poke bowl is healthier than a Frappuccino… but how do we figure out which diets are healthier for us as an individual? How do we determine what’s trendy and what’s sustainable?
