Hey team!
Congratulations to everyone that PR-ed their Push Press last week, as well as massive congratulations to all those who achieved their first pull up or muscle up! This week, before we dive into a new cycle, we will continue to test our fitness by hitting some of the infamous benchmark workouts, also known as “the girls”!
According to CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman he named the benchmark workouts after girls (in similar way that storms are named after girls) by the National Weather Service. He felt that because these workouts are so physically demanding that they leave you feeling as though a storm hit you.
Like with any workout, please feel free to scale back accordingly. Theses workouts are meant to be challenging, but also fun!
Next Saturday, August 25th, we will be concluding Crush Week with one of the longer girl workouts at our Harbor East location. The 8am, 9am, and 10am classes will all be capped and be your standard 1 hour class. There will be no separate Drive Wod next Saturday. While the 11am class will extend past it’s normal hour to allow for athletes looking for more time to complete the workout in it’s entirety. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Also a reminder that Crossfit Federal Hill is closed next weekend for a Level 2 Seminar.
Good Luck and see you at the box soon!
